Grey vs Nordic
No. The Grey is the abductor of post-1961 reports; the Nordic is the benevolent visitor of 1950s contactee literature. They differ in size, manner and the kind of story they appear in.
The difference
The Grey and the Nordic are the two poles of contact lore. The Grey comes out of abduction reports after 1961: small, silent, clinical, and remembered under hypnosis. The Nordic comes out of the contactee movement a decade earlier: tall, beautiful, talkative, and met in daylight with a message for humanity.
In practice the two rarely appear in the same account, and when they do the Nordic is usually described as supervising the Greys. Sceptics read the pair as the fear and the hope of the same decade, each dressed in the imagery of its time.

In their own dossiers
The Grey is described with more consistency than any other type, partly because the image has been reinforced by decades of book covers, films and television. Witnesses report a being between three and five feet tall with a large, smooth, hairless head that is wide at the cranium and narrow at the chin. The eyes dominate the face: enormous, black, almond-shaped, wrapping slightly around the sides of the head, with no visible pupil, iris or white. The nose is two small openings, the mouth a thin slit that is rarely seen to move, and ears are absent or vestigial.
Accounts of the Nordic type are remarkably consistent for a body of literature that spans seventy years and several languages. Witnesses describe a being between roughly six and eight feet tall, athletic rather than heavy, with proportions that read as human but slightly idealised: a longer neck, a straighter spine, hands with fine, long fingers. Skin is pale to the point of luminosity, hair is platinum, white-gold or silver and usually worn long on both sexes, and eyes are most often described as pale blue, grey or violet, larger than a human's but not dramatically so.
