Tall WhiteThe Envoys
The Tall Whites come from the 2002–2005 books of Charles Hall, a former USAF weather observer who claimed to have met extremely tall, chalk-white beings at Nellis Air Force Range in the 1960s. The account is uncorroborated and is recorded here as contactee lore.

Physical profile
Charles Hall's Tall Whites are among the most detailed physical descriptions in the contactee literature. He described beings six to eight feet tall as adults and growing taller with age, some reaching nine or ten feet; chalk-white skin, large blue eyes, platinum-white hair, and thin, elongated bodies. Their hands, he said, had four fingers. They aged slowly, lived up to eight hundred years, and wore white or pale jumpsuits with a protective aluminium-coloured suit outdoors. Hall stressed that they were fragile and that their bones broke easily.
Reported origin
Hall said the Tall Whites came from a home about one light-year from Arcturus, a placement that later commentators simplified to 'near Arcturus' or, in some lists, to Epsilon Eridani, a Sun-like star 10.5 light-years away with a known debris disc and a candidate planet. XenoAtlas records Epsilon Eridani as the lore's most common address while noting that Hall himself did not name it.
Culture
The Tall Whites of Hall's account are diplomats and traders: intelligent, formal, easily offended, protective of their children, and operating under what he described as an agreement with the United States Air Force that allowed them a base in the Nevada desert in exchange for technology. They are not benevolent guides in the Nordic sense; they are a foreign delegation with their own interests.
What makes the Tall White account distinctive is its ordinariness. Hall's beings are not saviours or predators. They are irritable, protective of their families, bound by an agreement they find inconvenient, and capable of both kindness and cruelty. That texture is unusual in the contactee literature and is the main reason the case retains readers.
Technology
Hall described deep-space craft capable of interstellar travel in weeks, and smaller scout craft, and claimed that Tall White technology was traded to the Air Force.
Craft
Large white craft, described as bus-sized scouts and much larger deep-space vessels, seen, Hall said, at Indian Springs in the 1960s.
Communication
Hall described them speaking English, learned from their hosts, in a high, quiet voice, and communicating among themselves in their own language.
Earth encounters
Charles Hall served as a weather observer at Nellis Air Force Range, Nevada, in 1965 and 1966. Beginning in 2002 he published Millennial Hospitality, a multi-volume memoir presented as fiction but claimed to be true, describing repeated encounters with the beings and their base. The account has no corroboration and no physical evidence, and Hall's military service records confirm only his posting, not the events.
Hall's account has specific, checkable claims: that the Tall Whites had a hangar in a canyon near Indian Springs, that Air Force generals met them, that their children played in the desert at night. None has been confirmed by any second witness or document. Supporters point to Hall's consistent telling over many years and to his evident sincerity; critics point out that a sincere, consistent single witness is still a single witness, and that the books were marketed as fiction.
Lore & history
The Tall White story is a late, detailed, single-witness addition to the contactee canon, notable for its specificity and its unusual framing of the beings as a foreign power rather than as saviours or abductors. XenoAtlas lists it as contactee lore.
