PleiadianThe Seven Sisters
The Pleiadian is a contactee figure closely related to the Nordic: a tall, human-like people said to originate in the Pleiades star cluster. The narrative was popularised by Swiss claimant Billy Meier from 1975 onward and later expanded in channelled literature.

Physical profile
Pleiadians are the Nordic type under a different name, and their description is nearly identical: tall, fair, human-like beings with long blond or golden hair, blue eyes and luminous skin, in close-fitting light-coloured garments. Where the two differ is in emphasis. Nordics are described as watchers; Pleiadians are described as relatives. The literature insists that they are genetically close to humans, sometimes claiming that they seeded or intermarried with early human populations, and that they could pass unnoticed on an Earth street.
Reported origin
The Pleiades, or Seven Sisters, is a young open star cluster in Taurus, visible to the naked eye and named in almost every culture on Earth. It lies about 440 light-years away and its stars are roughly 100 million years old, which by current models is far too young for complex life to have evolved. Billy Meier's contact notes name the planet Erra, orbiting the star Taygeta, as the Pleiadian home, and later authors added that the beings live in a 'slightly different dimension' of the cluster to answer the astronomical objection.
Culture
Pleiadian society, in Meier's notes and the later channelled material of Barbara Marciniak and Barbara Hand Clow, is spiritually governed, artistic and long-lived, with lifespans of around a thousand years. The beings are portrayed as warm, emotionally expressive and interested in humanity as family. Where Nordic lore emphasises non-interference, Pleiadian lore emphasises teaching: the beings arrive to explain history, spirituality and the future.
The channelled Pleiadians of the 1990s carried a distinctive message: that humanity's DNA had been 'rearranged' by controlling forces in the past and would be restored, that a great awakening was scheduled around 2012, and that the beings were here as 'family' to help. That vocabulary became standard across the New Age, and the Pleiadian remains the most-invoked channelled source alongside the Arcturian.
Technology
Meier described 'beamships' capable of near-instantaneous travel across interstellar distances by a method he called 'hyperspace jump', and technology for time travel that he claimed to have experienced. The channelled literature is less specific and describes Pleiadian technology in terms of light, sound and consciousness.
Craft
Meier's beamships are the most photographed alleged alien craft in history. From 1975 onward he produced hundreds of images of disc-shaped vessels over the Swiss countryside. Investigators, including some initially sympathetic to the case, later identified models, wires and photographic artefacts in many of the images, and the case is widely regarded as a hoax outside the Meier community.
Communication
Meier claimed spoken and telepathic contact with a Pleiadian woman named Semjase and others, recorded in thousands of pages of 'contact notes'. The channelled material of the 1990s dispensed with physical contact entirely and presented Pleiadian messages through human mediums.
Earth encounters
Eduard 'Billy' Meier, a one-armed Swiss farmer, reported his first contact on 28 January 1975 and has continued to publish material since. His case is the largest single body of Pleiadian lore. In the late 1980s and 1990s Marciniak's Bringers of the Dawn and Hand Clow's The Pleiadian Agenda carried the type into the New Age mainstream, where it remains one of the most popular channelled sources.
Meier's material is vast: thousands of pages of contact notes, hundreds of photographs, films of craft in flight and metal samples he said came from the beings. The 1980s investigation by Wendelle Stevens and colleagues produced the book UFO Contact from the Pleiades, which presented the case sympathetically; later analyses by Kal Korff and others documented models, doubled images and a mock-up craft found on the property. Meier's group, FIGU, continues to publish and to defend the case.
Lore & history
The Pleiades are the most storied cluster in the sky, and the Pleiadian is their modern myth. The cluster's prominence in Greek, Japanese, Aboriginal Australian and Native American tradition made it a natural home for a benevolent visitor. XenoAtlas records the type as contactee lore: a large, coherent and influential body of writing with no physical evidence behind it.
