OrionThe Warriors
In channelled cosmologies the 'Orion group' is cast as a martial, hierarchical civilisation and the counterweight to the gentler Pleiadian lineage. The constellation is real and spectacular; the civilisation is lore.

Physical profile
The Orion of channelled lore is a tall, heavily built humanoid with grey-blue or bronze skin, angular features and a martial bearing, often described in armour or a uniform. Some sources make the Orions a mixed population that includes reptilian and human-like groups; the common thread is discipline and hierarchy rather than a single body plan.
Reported origin
Orion is the most recognisable constellation in the sky, straddling the celestial equator, and it contains the Orion Nebula, a stellar nursery about 1,300 light-years away. Ancient-astronaut writers have long associated the constellation with Egypt because of the disputed claim that the Giza pyramids mirror Orion's belt. The channelled 'Orion group' borrows that prominence.
Culture
In the cosmology assembled by 1980s and 1990s channelled sources, the Orion group is the empire: militaristic, hierarchical, and the historical adversary of the Pleiadian and Lyran peoples in a series of ancient wars. Later material softens this into a civilisation that has reformed, or a population divided between service-to-self and service-to-others factions, in the language of the Ra material.
Technology
Military and expansionist in the lore: fleets, conquest and control technologies described in the language of space opera.
Craft
Large, dark warships in the channelled accounts; no sighting corpus of its own.
Communication
Channelled only, usually presented as warnings about the Orion group rather than messages from it.
Earth encounters
There are no encounter cases. The Orion group appears in the Ra material (The Law of One, 1981 onward), in Lyssa Royal's The Prism of Lyra (1989) and in the wider channelled literature as the antagonist that the galactic history needs.
Lore & history
Orion the hunter has been a warrior in the sky since the Greeks, and Sumerian, Egyptian and Aboriginal traditions all made the constellation a figure of power. The Orion of contactee lore is that warrior given an empire. XenoAtlas classes it as contactee lore attached to a real and famous constellation.
The Orion Correlation Theory, proposed by Robert Bauval in the 1990s, argued that the three Giza pyramids map the three stars of Orion's belt. Astronomers have pointed out that the match requires flipping the map and that the alignment is approximate; Egyptologists note that Orion, as the god Osiris, mattered to the pyramid builders for reasons that need no aliens. The channelled Orion group borrows the constellation's aura without engaging the argument.
