ProcyonThe Mediators
Procyon is the eighth-brightest star in the night sky. In 1980s–90s contactee literature its people are described as a human-like civilisation that recovered from occupation and now acts as mediators between factions. The Atlas records this as lore.

Physical profile
Procyons are described as tall, pale humanoids with silver or white hair and human features, close to the Nordic type but often rendered with a harder, more weathered look. The lore describes them as a people who have known occupation and recovered from it, and the descriptions carry that seriousness.
Reported origin
Procyon, the Little Dog Star, is the eighth-brightest star in the night sky and one of the Sun's nearest neighbours at 11.5 light-years. It is a binary: a bright main-sequence star slightly larger than the Sun and a faint white dwarf. Its proximity and brightness account for its place in the lore.
Culture
The Procyon story, circulated in contactee and conspiracy literature of the 1980s and 1990s, describes a human-like civilisation that was infiltrated and occupied by Greys, expelled them, and now warns other worlds against similar infiltration. The society is described as diplomatic, resilient and organised around councils.
Technology
Advanced and defensive in the lore, with an emphasis on countering the technologies used against them.
Craft
Not distinctively described.
Communication
Channelled and, in a few accounts, direct telepathic contact.
Earth encounters
There are no witness cases. The Procyon narrative appears in the 1980s material associated with George Andrews and in the later 'Andromedan' accounts of Alex Collier, where Procyon is named as an ally of the council races. It functions as a cautionary tale within the lore.
Lore & history
A near, bright, real star with a modern parable attached. XenoAtlas lists the Procyon as contactee lore.
Procyon's role as a warning tale about infiltration says more about the anxieties of the 1990s conspiracy milieu than about the star, which is one of the best-studied binaries in the sky.
