Stanton Friedman
The nuclear physicist who made the case for Roswell and the 'nuts-and-bolts' view.
Friedman was a nuclear physicist who left the industry to research and lecture on UFOs full time, becoming the field's most prominent advocate of the extraterrestrial, 'nuts-and-bolts' interpretation. In 1978 he interviewed Major Jesse Marcel, who had handled the Roswell debris, and reignited that case after thirty years of silence.
He co-wrote books on Roswell and the Majestic 12 documents, which he defended, and debated sceptics for decades. Combative and credentialed, he was the public face of the argument that some UFOs are alien spacecraft and that the evidence is being withheld.
