David Fravor
The Navy pilot who chased the 2004 'Tic Tac' and testified to Congress in 2023.
Fravor was a US Navy commander and F/A-18 pilot with the USS Nimitz strike group when, on 14 November 2004, he was sent to investigate a radar contact off California and found a smooth white 'Tic Tac'-shaped object over a disturbance in the sea. It mirrored his approach and then accelerated away faster than anything he had seen.
The infrared video and his account became public in 2017 and reset the official conversation. In July 2023 he testified to a House subcommittee. A career aviator with no incentive to invent the story, he is among the most credible witnesses in the modern record.
