Crystalline vs Elemental

No. Crystalline beings are speculative silicon-based life from fiction; Elementals are nature spirits from European folklore.

The difference

Two non-biological ideas. The Crystalline being is a science-fiction life form built on silicon or mineral structure; the Elemental is a folkloric spirit of air, fire, water or earth, reinterpreted by some New Age writers as a form of alien life.

The first belongs to speculative biology, the second to Paracelsus and the fairy tradition.

In their own dossiers

Crystalline

The Crystalline is a humanoid lattice of translucent violet or blue crystal with light moving through it, faceted rather than smooth, with glowing eyes and a crown of crystal growth. It is portrayed as slow, resonant and ancient, and as hard to injure.

Elemental

The Elemental is a humanoid of fractured rock, lit from within by ember-coloured seams, with glowing eyes and a body that seems assembled from stone, magma and organic matter. It is heavy, ancient and volatile in the lore.
